"It was terrible", LiAngelo said about jail on the "TODAY" show.

"Trump shouldn't have intervened just because they have some privileges being famous college basketball players", freshman Morgan Fuller said. "So I don't know if there's an adjustment, we just keep moving forward".

While all of the players thanked Trump at a press conference soon after arriving back in Los Angeles, outspoken father Lavar Ball has refused to do so; instead choosing to troll Trump at every possible opportunity by questioning how much of a role the USA president actually played in his son's release, causing Trump to tweet that he should have left the teens in jail.

"I don't feel sorry for myself", LiAngelo Ball said during Wednesday, Nov. 15's news conference at UCLA. Ball, Hill and Riley publicly apologized for shoplifting while reading prepared statements at a campus news conference on November 15.

Richard Mackson, USA TODAY Sports Lavar Ball is the father of three basketball stars: Lonzo, heading to the NBA this summer, and LiAngelo and LaMelo.

Ball, along with fellow freshmen Jalen Hill and Cody Riley, were indefinitely suspended for their participation in the shoplifting incident during the Bruins' trip to China last month. This national story grew with the intervention of Trump and Liangelo's father.

The UCLA basketball player recounted the experience that he deemed as "horrible" as Chinese authorities came to their hotel and arrested them. It's not like we turned them loose (in in Hangzhou) to go across town. Although they were there to play basketball games, the program drew in more attention from a shoplifting incident.

And at what point do they resent Lonzo for it? During the past three games, opponents are shooting just 35.7 percent from the field.

"We are exploring other options with Gelo", LaVar Ball said on Monday. Lietkabelis Panevezys, the two time champs of the Lithuanian league in 1985 and 1988, and the runners-up a year ago, doesn't want the Ball brothers to help them get over the top on the court, but off the court, why not? "They would be happy to have him".

LaVar Ball and President Donald Trump have engaged in a public war of words since the three players returned from China.

LiAngelo Ball told "Access Hollywood" in an interview aired Tuesday on the "Today" show that the players were in jail in China for 1 days.

"We get back over here and the consequences were even stiffer than China".

"How you carry yourself at 17 and 18, I think they know what's right and wrong".

Riley and Hill are still communicating with the UCLA coaching staff, Alford said, as they focus on academics while waiting out their indefinite suspensions.
