The new Portal game is a Bridge Constructor spin-off

Bridge Constructor, developed by Headup Games and published by ClockStone Software, has been around since 2013. The adaptation of the Bridge Constructor physics puzzle series launches December 20 for Mac, Windows, Android and iOS.

The studio is best known for creating Bridge Constructor, where players create and design constructions and watch as vehicles pass over them to see how the structural integrity of their creation holds up against the laws of physics.

For the previous year, we've been secretly working in our underground labs on the next iteration of the million-selling Bridge Constructor series.

Valve fans have been waiting more than six years for a sequel to 2011's Portal 2, and today Valve (kind of) finally announced one. The screenshots show a bit more.

The cunningly-named Bridge Constructor Portal launches for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as on mobile platforms via iPhone, iPad and Android. The console version is slated for release in early 2018.
