Tuesday Weather: Very Cold Day

So the forecast for the next couple of days will feature cloudy, cold, and wet conditions with periods of rainfall. Roads will be slick throughout the overnight hours through much of the day on Saturday. North wind of 15 miles per hour. The cold air will not arrive in time to allow for any mixture with rain. High temperatures will warm gradually into the weekend.

The cold front that brought damp weather to the Valley Tuesday also ushered in colder air.and that colder air is here to stay.

High pressure will try to nose its way in from our southwest as we work through the rest of Wednesday. Another cold front is on the way. Temperatures will decrease throughout the day and only reach into the low 50s with wind gusts as fast as 25 miles per hour. These numbers are pretty close to seasonable levels however for this time of the year. This afternoon highs will top out near seasonal hitting the lower 40s with sun and clouds.

This weekend will have nothing except sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures.

A shift in the jet stream will create a very active weather pattern for the next seven days. Thursday looks even colder with temperatures likely staying below freezing.

Friday should be partly cloudy with morning temps near 32 and highs near 50.

Sunday night's supermoon enhanced the tide Monday morning, which triggered a coastal flood advisory.

You'll need the rain gear today as well as showers fill in from western Mass.to eastern Mass. The moisture with the system stays east of our area. The front stalls south of us, meaning we'll have leftover rain still lingering late Thursday into Thursday night.

Tonight will be another cold one. However, it still bears watching just in case, especially towards the I-95 corridor.

Saturday: Overcast skies may continue for the first half of Saturday with rain still possible early on.

Even colder weather is set to invade OH and western Pennsylvania next week. Temperatures will only climb a few degrees for afternoon temperatures in the middle and upper 40s.

A clipper will sweep by to the northeast on Wednesday.

Wednesday looks to have early morning rain and then it clears up a bit in the afternoon. Have taken the wintry mix out of the 8 day as models have gone dry again with no precipitation so until there's more consistency won't put it back in the forecast but Tuesday would be the day to keep an eye on.
