John Mayer Reportedly In Hospital For Emergency Appendectomy

Last night the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" singer was rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy in New Orleans where he was set to perform on Tuesday evening.

John Mayer was hospitalized in New Orleans on Tuesday to undergo an emergency appendectomy, according to PEOPLE.

Dead and Company took to social media to officially announce the news of the singer's appendectomy as well as update the fans on his upcoming performance. Mayer is now on tour with the Grateful Dead offshoot, Dead & Company.

There is no news yet on the surgery's outcome.

Loynes said all tickets for Tuesday's show would be honored and later rescheduled as soon as possible.

After that, they have another stop in the state on Friday at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.

No word yet on whether Mayer's condition will have an impact on that show.

Mayer is also scheduled to perform a December 12 at the Masonic in San Francisco. He also has two Controlled Danger shows with Dave Chappelle on the calendar for December 30 in Los Angeles and on December 31 in Inglewood, CA.
