Overwatch League Jersey Skins Lets You Represent Your Favorite Team

Overwatch League Uniform Skins Will Be Available for In-Game Purchase

Likewise, Blizzard confirmed that it has no plans to add Overwatch League skins to the game's loot boxes. When they are introduced, every player in Overwatch will automatically have enough League Tokens added to their account to purchase one skin of their preferred team.

Overwatch League Commissioner Nate Nanzer reveals details about how Overwatch League home-team uniforms will come to life as in-game skins in early 2018-and how you'll be able to obtain them.

"Just like with traditional sports jerseys, purchasing Overwatch League skins will provide monetary support for teams in the league, and they're also a great way to show off your team pride in the game", said Nanzer in the video. The regular Overwatch League and team shirts are $25 Dollars, and the team jerseys come in at $60 USD. Any real money you hand out to buy this merchandise will go directly to funding each team in the League.

In late October, Jeff Kaplan announced via the Overwatch YouTube channel that Blizzard would soon be making efforts to increase the "watchability" of the game's competitive scene, and for good reason. There is also the possibility that players will be able to convert credits into tokens.

The Overwatch League is one of the first esports leagues that will feature city-based teams, of which there are twelve in the opening season. Plus there's already trouble, with Philadelphia Fusion being knocked out of their first match due to player logistics.

While Opening Day isn't slated to begin until January 10, preseason offers a chance for teams to get the rust out of their systems and prepare for the real deal.
