Manchester City vs West Ham, 2017 Premier League

Man City midfielder David Silva a doubt for derby with Man Utd

City are the overwhelming favourites for Sunday's game, and will be looking to heap more misery on new Irons boss David Moyes, who is yet to record his first victory for the Londoners.

But after 12th successive league wins, few would expect their winning sequence to come to an end as they host struggling West Ham.

City face a hectic schedule, with their 10 games over 30 days including a midweek trip to Ukraine. for their final Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Meanwhile, Man City are unbeaten in their last eight Sunday Premier League games (W5 D3), since losing at Everton in January.

Moyes has admitted he hoped the West Ham job would be "a bit easier" after a hard start to his reign in east London.

"These kind of things happen in Barcelona", said Guardiola. I can not deny we are in better form than West Ham and we've had better results than West Ham. I spoke well about the opponents and people said "Pep has false humility, he's a liar, he's saying something he doesn't believe".

He said: "We can not deny I am so satisfied with the previous results, but there are more than 70 points to play for".

"But tomorrow we start again, and I was a player - I trust the players to be professional". They have experience and a manager with the experience to handle these situations.

"If it gets nearer the time and I think it's needed I'll go myself and see them". I need them to stand up and be better but overall I think they're big enough in here to know they need to do better.

Sterling now has two full seasons yet to run on his City deal, though the club are keen to secure his future - especially given his current hot streak of form.
