Honor View 10 Flagship Unveiled In India, Coming In January

Huawei Honor 7X goes on sale in Europe and US, View 10 to follow next month

The company is all set to launch View10 globally including in India on January 8, 2018.

The smartphone is priced at INR 12,999 (32 GB internal storage) and INR 15,999 (64 GB internal storage) and available in Black, Gold, and Blue colors.

The exact India price, however, will be announced later. The company also announced a new global growth strategy that aims to make Honor a top-three smartphone brand worldwide in five years. Sources are saying that Honor View 10 has been launched at an event in London on Tuesday. App loading times are swift and the View 10 can manage multiple apps in its memory easily. This delivers features such as the One-key split screen function, App Twins and Phone Manager. The architecture is octa-core in size.

This is the first smartphone from the house of Huawei to come with an AI processor. The smartphone is shelled inside a metal unibody design covering, with 18:9 bezel-less display. The smartphone bears a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS LCD FullView display with a pixel density of 403ppi and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Honor says that thanks to its new Kirin 970 SoC, the device will integrate AI capabilities in its UI to make using the phone more intuitive for its users. It comes with 4GB / 6GB RAM options. Thus, it powers a series of AI applications like recognizing different scenes when taking photos, translating different languages in real-time even without an Internet connection and optimising the phone's performance. The sensor can be used to activate the camera shutter or drag down the notificaiton window.

3D Facial Animation feature With the help of AI, Huawei also managed to copy Apple's most talked feature Animoji. It also has Apple-inspired Animojis, which should appeal to those looking for iPhone X features on a budget.

As for the camera, the 16MP+20MP dual lens setup still misses out on the OIS but retains Huawei's impressive monochrome sensor for enhanced details. It impresses in the camera department as well, featuring a dual-camera setup at the rear and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. With the rear cameras, users can enjoy auto-focus and PDAF. Honor SuperCharge claims to charge the battery to 50 per cent in just 30 minutes while operating at a low temperature and voltage.
