God of War Release Date Listed on PlayStation Store

God of War PS4 Release Date Leaked Via Play Station Network Store Listing

The date was spotted on the game's listing on the PlayStation Store in Chile and the United States, but each has subsequently been changed to a placeholder of December 31, 2018.

Initially spotted by Wario64 (via GameSpot), the listing on the PlayStation Store has revealed the game's potential release date for the 22nd of March, 2018.

The release date comes days before The Game Awards on December 7th and Sony's PlayStation Experience 2017 on December 9th.

Sony has planned an elite and high-end profile of games to be released as the New Year approaches.

The PlayStation 4 has a lot of exciting games coming up, but perhaps one of the most exciting is God of War. It's entirely possible, and if that PlayStation Store date turns out to be real, then someone's really buggered up. The changed date March 22nd falls on a Thursday and no game has ever been released on this day unless absolutely necessary. By leaving these things unanswered, Sony Santa Monica has left us all talking amongst ourselves, awaiting with a near fever-pitch level of anticipation, for what looks to be another solid entry in this venerable series. Though no official statement has been given by Sony but yes the release date matches with the earlier release dates of the previous God of War games.

God of War will be the first game in the series since God of War: Ascension in 2013.

Once again, Sony Computer Entertainment may have inadvertently leaked a release date a bit too early.
