Piece of cheese a day slashes coronary heart assault and stroke danger

Cheese is rich in vitamins minerals and proteins which help protect against cardiovascular disease

As per the reports, the study claimed,"consumption of cheese on daily basis can reduce fatal heart attacks and strokes".

New studies have found that eating a portion of the tasty food each day can actually improve your health.

Cheese contains high levels of vitamins, proteins, and minerals which help fight cardiovascular disease.

New research conducted by Chinese University, Soochow, has suggested that consuming 40 grams of cheese per day could reduce the chance of developing certain heart diseases. Eating the same amount has the potential to slash your chance of a stroke by 10 per cent.

Researchers made the finding after analysing 15 previous studies that followed the diet and health outcomes of over 200,000 people.

If you're sceptical of the study, there are more out there that support similar claims.

Even full-fat cheese, milk and yoghurt do not increase the danger, the review of 29 studies found. The results are soon to come in to the picture after a research showed that cheese is associated with the higher life expectancy.

This is apparently due to the fact that although cheese contains a lot of fat, it also contains calcium which stops some of these fats from being absorbed into the body.

"If you're after lower fat cheeses the best two would be ricotta and feta cheese", he said.

Commenting on the research, Ian Givens, Professor of Food Chain Nutrition at Reading University, said, that the participants were fed with calcium from dairy products such as cheese and it was observed that it played an important part in reducing extra fat from the body.

Here's a photo of how much cheese we're talking. According to official guidelines, an adult should get at least 2.5 serves of dairy every day, with one serve being 40 grams of cheese.
