Two people killed after shooting at Cousin Stizz show

Police said the shooting started just before 10 p.m. Sunday night at Atlanta's Masquerade music hall, during a rap concert.

Police told the outlet that between the second and third act of the night, a few audience members climbed on stage.

Innocent bystanders were hit in the ankle and foot as a result, Fox 5 reported.

'Two other females came behind them like, 'Oh my God, they're dead!' And it was insane.

One of the victims died at the scene from a gunshot to the chest, and another died at a local hospital.

Police said that everyone in the club, including the victims and shooter, then ran for the club's exit.

According to the Associated Press, the shooting occurred after two people climbed on stage between performances.

The gunman has not yet been identified. They are asking for witnesses to come forward.

Detectives intend to examine club surveillance footage for more information.

He tweeted a statement about the shooting, sending his condolences.

"Completely heartbroken", the rapper said on Twitter after the shooting. I'm in shock and at a loss of words for the senseless violence. "My thoughts and prayers to out to the victims and their families".

The Atlanta Police Department homicide squad is working the case and authorities are continuing the investigation.
