Eve officially joins 'The Talk' as new host

'The Talk' Names Eve the Daytime Show's Newest Co-Host — Get the Details!

Both nervous and excited to start her new gig, Eve says she's already received great advice from the cast - especially Underwood - and teases she'll be "a pretty open book" with her own experiences and opinions in upcoming episodes.

Grammy Award-winning rapper and actress Eve is adding talk show host to her resume by officially joining CBS' daytime talk show "The Talk".

Since Tyler's exit, "The Talk" has featured many guest co-hosts during its current eighth season. Eve was a standout and proved she was the right fit earlier this month when she co-hosted for a week, impressing viewers, the network, and the cast. She's best known for hits like "What Ya Want", "Gangsta Lovin" and "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" featuring Gwen Stefani.

On Tuesday, CBS announced that the Grammy Award victor will join Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood as a new full-time host. "Casting a partner on-air, whether it's one of five, one of two, is a very hard thing because it's that thing we always talk about, chemistry", she added.

She made her official debut Tuesday, after appearing as guest co-host during the week of October 13.

"It is a new career move for me", Eve told Variety. This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting. "And to have such a diverse group of women as well - I think that is very important", she said". "I'm kind of quiet on social media, so this is a fun way for me to be expressive and show people who I am right now".

Tyler, who has already guest co-hosted this season, is expected join the ladies at the table and fill in as a co-host from time-to-time when scheduling permits.
