Watch Taylor Swift perform two tracks from 'Reputation' on 'Saturday Night Live'

Taylor Swift treated fans to a stripped-down performance of 'Reputation' hits on 'Saturday Night Live'

Backed by a cello and harmonizing vocalists, Swift managed to present the flip-side of her sound just like she does on 'Reputation.' For an album with a distinct duality, it was fitting that Swift's Saturday Night Live performances followed suit.

Taylor Swift's latest album, "Reputation", has sold a staggering 700,000 copies in the USA on its first day of release, setting it on track to become the year's best selling record in just one week. If the album continues to sell at a lightning pace like it has been over the past three days, it will become 2017's biggest selling album after only one week of being out.

Should the album hit the expected first week sales numbers, it would eclipse Ed Sheeran's "Divide", which is now 2017's most successful album with over 900,000 copies sold.

Industry experts are anticipating 1.5 million copies of Reputation to sell in its first week, according to Variety. Speak Now from 2010, as well as 2012's Red and 2014's 1989 sold more than 1 million copies during their respective first weeks.

She caps the lengthy letter by writing: "Let me say it louder again, louder for those in the back".

Her boldness, courage, and sassiness are all paying off in a big way. She shimmied, she shook it off, she owned the stage, and she sported a real life golden snake microphone - a shimmery, gaudy, jewel-encrusted symbol of just how little this new and improved Swift gives a damn. She'll also anchor iHeartRadio station KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball at the Forum in Inglewood on December 1, along with Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato, the Chainsmokers, Kesha, Halsey, Niall Horan and a slew of other pop stars. She gave us everything. She has now "reclaimed the snake" and adopted it as her emblem for this album (and new era of Taytay).

According to numbers from Buzz Angle Music, the album that was released on November 10 has sold 717,000 copies during the first day.

On the same note, Taylor Swift's upcoming "Reputation World Tour" is predicted to be one of the high-grossing tours this year.

Reputation is available everywhere now.
