Taylor Swift Takes Over Saturday Night Live

Tom Hiddleston Reaction Reputation

Pop sensation Taylor Swift is reportedly writing an "emotional letter" to her fans about the pitfalls of celebrity life, in hard copies of new album "Reputation".

Also, she's performing on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

The first song she performed on the show was '.

Swift then slowed things down for a surprising acoustic rendition of "Call It What You Want". In fact, we were so super excited that we pressed replay on our copy of her brand new album, "Reputation", for what had got to be the hundredth time since it had been released.

The good news was that Swift's performances likely helped the episode in the key 18-49 age demographic. During her appearance, she performed her songs "Love Story" and "Forever & Always".

Pals of Swift insisted to Guilty Pleasures last night that she "100 per cent sang live".

Swift appeared to refer to several issues in the open letter - titled "Here's Something I've Learned About People", including her famous feud with Kanye West. "They're burning all the witches even if you aren't one". And she isn't holding anything back.

This was Swift's first performance on the late night sketch show since 2009 and her first public performance of any of the song's off of Reputation.

Now that Reputation has dropped, Swifties have had time to learn all the lyrics and learn what was going on through the singer's mind when she made a decision to take some time away from the limelight. Maybe she just wanted to focus on the music - or, maybe she has a cameo later. But not letting go of her snake motif, Swift wore a snake-printed sweatshirt as she strummed her guitar with the stage lights slightly dimmed providing a stripped down acoustic performance.
