Taylor Swift Has Performed Her 'Reputation' Songs Live For The First Time

Taylor Swift Opens Up About Wanting

Swift celebrated the release of Reputation with a performance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, performing two of her new hit songs.

THEY might be buying her new album in their millions, but fans weren't buying Taylor Swift's big live comeback when they blasted her for miming.

Well, there you have it. Queen Taylor Swift is back...

Citing data from BuzzAngle, Variety and Music Business Worldwide say Swift's new album sold upwards of 717,000 pure United States copies on its first day of release.

Although the pop darling hasn't physically been on the show since 2009, she's been there in spirt.

The good news was that Swift's performances likely helped the episode in the key 18-49 age demographic.

Her current love, British actor Joe Alwyn, was widely seen as the inspiration for some of the more romantic tracks, such as Gorgeous and Delicate. Her stripped-down vocals, accompanied by acoustic guitar, cello, and backup vocalists, emphasized the lyrics that fans have pegged as a reference to her high-profile feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. We know our friend in a certain light, but we don't know them the way their lover does.

Now, it seems, the relevant question is how close to doubling that figure "Reputation", her latest release, might come.

She concluded the lengthy letter by writing, "Let me say it louder again, louder for those in the back". No one can just disappear for as long as she did, going completely off the grid, and then resurface with such ferocity as she has.

There isn't a star in the world brighter than Taylor Swift.

While the old Taylor may be dead, "Reputation" proves that Swift is still a force to be reckoned with, and her songwriting shows critics that there's strength in being vulnerable.
