Sadio Mane returns to Liverpool after suffering hamstring injury recurrence with Senegal

Mane recently made a comeback ahead of schedule for Liverpool and starred in East London

For the second global break in a row, Liverpool star Sadio Mane has got injured.

Mane left for global duty following his surprising return to Premier League action against West Ham, having been previously indisposed due to a hamstring injury sustained during the previous worldwide break.

In a case of "too much, too soon", Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane is on his way back to Merseyside to be assessed by the Reds medical staff after aggravating a hamstring injury that had previously kept him sidelined for a month.

And, according to new reports, Mane's now suffered another setback.

Mane, who has scored 16 goals in 32 Premier League starts since joining Liverpool last summer, is due back at England on Tuesday morning, having been released by Senegal.

'The Senegalese Football Federation informs the national and global opinion that, following the match South Africa against Senegal on Friday, November 10, 2017, in Polokwane, the player Sadio Mane was slightly felt (sic) from his old injury, ' the statement read.

Jurgen Klopp had hoped that Senegal would consider releasing Mane earlier in the event that they ensured qualification for next summer's finals in Russian Federation.

Liverpool, of course, have been heavily linked to Southampton in recent seasons, particularly in the transfer market. They worked their magic once before and are likely in the best position to nurse the forward back to health once again.
