Noctis from FFXV coming to Tekken 7 as DLC

Tekken 7 gets Final Fantasy's Noctis, slowly becoming Smash Bros.

What do you think about Noctis joining the list of fighters? Since this is Tekken, Noctis even squares off against the bear, Kuma. And although his reveal trailer gave off the impression of having a friendship with Tekken's Lars, it was only for promotional purposes. Just like in the game, Noctis can use a multitude of weapons depending on his inputs, as well as throw his weapons to warp from one part of the stage to another. This is how the crowd at the Tekken World Finals reacted to the news, via CEOGaming's Alex Jebailey. If you didn't know better, you'd think that someone is trying to turn Tekken 7 into a slightly more somber version of Super Smash Bros. I never imagined FFXV's goth prince in a fighting game, but after seeing the trailer, it feels natural. That same footage seems to suggest that Noctis that will not necessarily be the hardest hitter but will instead rely on a combination of abilities to keep his opponents off-guard. It's quite possible this is the stage's music.

Noctis is due out as a DLC character at some point in spring 2018, Bandai Namco said.

As we get closer to the end of the year, various fighting games throughout the industry are rounding out respective seasons' Finals tournaments.

Street Fighter's Akuma was also one of the playable characters in the game, but he came standard with every copy.
