Motorola launches 'Moto X4' with professional camera at Rs. 20999

Moto X4 with Dual Rear Camera and IP68 Rating Launched in India

The company is offering two variants of the Moto X4 to ensure that customers have options to choose from. The last phone in the series was launched back in December 2015 and fast forwarding to September this year, we saw the launch of X4. Motorola is now turning its attention to the mid-range segment with the Moto X4, which is now available in India for ₹20,999 ($325). Add a blurred background to take professional looking portraits and be among the first to experiment with new beta features that let you use selective black and white or spot color or even change the background.

The dual camera setup has an appearance is very attractive which is very similar to the spotted on the Moto G5S Plus with a protruding circular ring on this gadget or phone. A capacitive fingerprint sensor sits underneath the display, and it does the job. The phone will be available exclusively through Flipkart online and Moto Hubs offline retail stores.

Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, the Moto X4 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. Though Moto has enforced the side panel with a metal frame, one can't ignore the fact that glass back makes a smartphone slippery and prone to smudges. It features a 12-megapixel sensor with f2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel sensor with f2.2 wide-angle sensor.

The most interesting feature of this phone is the ability to connect with up to four Bluetooth devices simultaneously. The front camera comes with 16 MP sensor with flash and is capable to adapt to low lighting conditions. For selfies, the company has tucked in a 16MP front shooter with an LED flash. A 3GB RAM/32GB storage model and another 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant.

Motorola has also implemented new features to their device.

There's a 3000mAh non-removable battery powering the phone. The Moto X4 has a 3000 mAh battery and there is a 15W TurboPower charging support that is supposed to offer 6 hours of battery life with 15 minutes of charging.

Just like the rest of Motorola's Android smartphone line-up, the Moto X4 runs on a near stock build of Android 7.1.1 Nougat with an update to Android 8.0 Oreo along the way ( Motorola claims that Oreo will arrive on the smartphone by early 2018). Another one of its attributes is that it features IP68 dust and water resistance. Motorola is also boasting of Alexa integration along with Google Assistant on the phone.

Connectivity options on the Moto X4 include NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), GPS, GLONASS, 4G LTE, and FM radio support.

Prices: The variant with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage is priced at Rs. 20,999 while another one is priced at Rs. 22,999.
