Lonzo Ball: I've Played This Way My Whole Life

The Bucks knocked off the Los Angeles Lakers 98-90 on Saturday night to earn their second straight win.

Ball finished the game with 19 points (on 7-of-12 from the field), 13 assists, and 12 rebounds. Ball also tallied three blocked shots and three steals.

The Cavaliers superstar previously held the record after notching his first triple-double in January 2005 at 20 years and 20 days old. My dad had me on lesser teams, so I had to do more and it prepares me. In fact, Ball's first year statistics (thus far) are nearly identical to that of Kidd, who averaged 11.7 points, 7.7 assists and 5.4 rebounds as a rookie for the Dallas Mavericks in 1994-95.

Ball is determined to follow his own judgment despite the highs and lows of his rookie season. Johnson made the call after Ball became the first rookie to notch up the statistical milestone during the Las Vegas Summer League. I was the No. 1 pick (in 1979). "I really don't care", Ball noted in a post-game interview. It's not going to be scoring every night, but I'm trying to improve that. Lonzo is going to play his game.

"For us, it's tough to lose on this road trip".
