Gold Medalist Aly Raisman Reports Dr. Larry Nassar Sexually Abused Her

Gymnast Aly Raisman at Fenway Park last year

In the 60 Minutes episode in which Raisman told her own story, she declined to provide details of her alleged abuse, saying instead that it was important not to keep these things quiet. "I can't. Every time I look at them, every time I see them smiling, I just think - I just want to create change so that they never, ever have to go through this".

Raisman is also expected to discuss her new book, "Fierce", with 60 Minutes. Raisman said she first received treatment from Nassar when she was 15 years old.

Raisman won team and floor gold in London and team gold at the 2016 Rio Games. Like Maroney, she was "treated" by Nassar, which Maroney already said was code for him sexually assaulting girls in his hotel rooms. His actions also are the subject of a class-action lawsuit filed by his alleged victims against both USA Gymnastics and Michigan State, where Nassar worked for a number of years.

Nassar was involved with USA Gymnastics for almost three decades and worked with the country's gymnasts at four separate Olympic Games.

RAISMAN: I am angry.

"Why are we looking at why didn't the girls speak up?"

Raisman joins a long list of women who have accused Nassar of sexual misconduct.

Nassar is being held in jail without bond on the pornography charges and is scheduled to be sentenced November 27.

The former Olympic doctor is now in prison for pleading guilty to child pornography. He's also awaiting trial on separate criminal sexual conduct charges and has been sued by more than 125 women alleging abuse.

Who else came forward with accusations against Nassar? Last month, McKayla Maroney detailed how Nassar began molesting her at the age of 13 at a U.S. national team training camp in Texas and continued the abuse until she left the sport.

Raisman's teammate, McKayla Maroney, 21, revealed last month that she too had been molested by Nassar under the guise of medical treatment.

Raisman is a 23-year-old gymnast born in MA in America. And - he had asked me not to wear any underwear.

"60 Minutes" airs at 7 p.m.

What is the USA Olympics doing?

Since the Nassar scandal broke, USA Gymnastics has changed its reporting system, requiring "mandatory reporting" of any and all sexual abuse.
