Han Solo Star Wars prequel to be titled Solo

Ron Howard has been working hard since taking over the standalone Han Solo "Star Wars" movie in June and he says he's finally wrapping up production. In the past, the Star Wars movie names that were given to us had more depth and creativity, while this time around, however, I believe they could have done much, much better and here's why.

The Arrested Development narrator was brought on to direct the project earlier this summer after LEGO Movie and 22 Jump Street filmmakers Chris Miller and Phil Lord were abruptly fired by Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm over "creative differences".

Director Ron Howard announced the title Tuesday in a Twitter video celebrating production wrap on the anthology film starring Alden Ehrenreich as the grumpy space smuggler originated by Harrison Ford. What will happen in this film that will shape the Han Solo that we know and love?

The film will likely include Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover), Solo's smuggling friend. The screenplay was written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan. Paul Bettany, Warwick Davis, and Howard's brother, Clint Howard, will also appear in the film.

Like "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", the new film will be another chance for the Star Wars franchise to share stand-alone stories that don't connect to the main saga's narrative.
