DeShone Kizer back to starting for Browns

3 Things Another Browns QB decision another Sunday debacle

DeShone Kizer is back under center for the Cleveland Browns.

Hogan then made his first career National Football League start in the Browns' most recent loss at the Houston Texans. Kizer was playing poorly, and more it was on him than his supporters want to admit, but if he needs a timeout to realize that turning the ball over is bad, then that raises some additional questions about his longterm viability as the answer to the Browns quarterback issues.

"I think when you see some of the things that have happened to you in games and you can see it happening with somebody else that hurts your football team, you understand ... the turnovers are putting the team at risk", Jackson said Wednesday.

The Browns reinstated Kizer as their starter and he'll play Sunday against Tennessee.

Coach Hue Jackson said he wanted Kizer to watch the game from the sideline in hopes it would clear his mind.

Hogan was called upon to start in Week 6 following the endless struggles of rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer.

"You have to have a better attitude". "He just kept doing what he needed to do and I told him that day when I made the decision that Kevin was the backup, at some point in time you will get your opportunity, too and that is what I am going to do". The rookie is at the bottom of almost every passing category, including completion percentage (50.9), yards per attempt (5.35), touchdown percentage (1.9), interception percentage (5.7) and passer rating (49.5).

Due to Hogan's shaky performance against Houston, Kizer was once again named the starter Wednesday.

Hogan went 20 of 37 on his pass attemps for 140 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions at Houston. "In this league, you've got to talk less and do more".

Hogan finished the game with a 122.4 quarterback rating.
