State Police issue Amber Alert for Virginia teen

Virginia State Police issued an Amber Alert for Cruz at 1:43 a.m. after officers from the Prince William County Police Department reacted to a report of a conceivable snatching in the 14800 square of Danville Road in Woodbridge.

Detectives are still investigating and are trying to determine if any crimes were committed.

Both the suspect and victim were found in the Woodbridge area after the amber alert was issued. Anyone with information is urged to contact Prince William County Police at 703/792-6500 or state police at 1-800-822-4453.

Roberto Medrano-Segovia, 21, of no fixed address, is accused of abducting a teenage girl and pulling a knife on people who tried to help her after the two got into a fight at a weekend party in Virginia.

No other details have been released at this time.

Police said the victim and Medrano-Segovia got into another argument.

Segovia and Aguilar-Cruz then got into another argument and witnesses saw her being forced into Segovia's vehicle. Police say the man sought with her has also been located.

Police believe they may be traveling in a dark Honda Civic, possibly a hatchback.

The individuals were eventually positively identified and questioned about the incident.

Aguilar-Cruz was unharmed and returned to her family, and Medrano-Segovia was arrested.

He is held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail pending a November 17 court date.
