'South Park' game's main DLC items won't be available this year

Ubisoft's upcoming South Park RPG South Park: The Fractured But Whole is almost out, and the game is coming with plenty of downloadable content in the near future.

If you want a little taste of Fractured But Whole before then, check out the episode, which also includes Jimmy's superhero origin story, Facebook lies, and one confusing depiction of Mark Zuckerberg. Pre-ordering the game before its launch also nets the player an instant download code for the first game, The Stick of Truth. Purchased standalone, Danger Deck will cost $5.99.

So what's coming in the season pass?

But if you think the story is complete with the main game, think again.

According to Ubisoft, players will be able to access a combat challenge mode in Danger Deck, available this December. Today developer and publisher Ubisoft revealed some brand new details about the upcoming RPG's season pass.

There's also the "Relics of Zaron" DLC, giving special costumes with in-game ability bonuses. It'll be $11.99 when it arrives in 2018. Meanwhile, "Bring the Crunch" will introduce a new story and superhero class for players at $11.99, as well. It will be available on October 17, the same day the game launches, and comes with three DLC packs and Day One content (via IGN). It will be available for $4.99 on October 17. That DLC is out on day one for season pass owners, and available by October 24 for non-pass buyers.

So, mostly costume packs and slight add-ons, but still pretty ideal for fans of the South Park franchise. Towelie: Your Gaming Bud provides helpful and hilarious advice and commentary to players at key locations throughout the game.

South Park Fractured But Hole is the sequel to South Park The Stick of Truth released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
