Press Statement, CCTV Footage released by Davido from Night of Tagbo's Death

The Nigerian Police Lagos Command have re-invited the Nigerian singer Davido in relation to the death

The Lagos State Police Command Wednesday, arrested hip-hop artist, David Adekeke alias Davido over the death of one Tagbo.

The police reinvited Davido for further questioning about the untruths he had told during their pre-investigation meeting.

Umeike died last Tuesday after visiting the Shisha Bar in Lekki, Nigeria.

The statement also stated that Tagbo did not step a foot into Davido's auto at any time.

A Nigerian actress, Caroline Danjuma, had, through a post on Instagram, accused Davido of dumping Tagbo's corpse at the General Hospital, Lagos, after he allegedly died in his (Davido's) auto.

Recalling how it happened, Edgar said, "On September 3, 2017, at about 0920hrs, the Chief Security Officer of General Hospital, Lagos, one Oparanti Moshood, alleged and alerted the DPO (Lion Building) that an unidentified male was brought in dead (BID) in an ash colour Toyota Camry saloon vehicle with identification number LSD 738 El". The CCTV footage also confirmed this. The acting commissioner went on to add that Tagbo was abandoned in the auto at the hospital by Davido's driver Tunde Usutu and two of his friends, Agbeje Olaoye and Idris Busari. "The interim autopsy report stated that the victim died of Asphyxia".

As the controversy surrounding his death continued to brew, Davido was hit yet again by the death of two other friends - Olu Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Olu and Chime Amaechi.
