Ozil's agent speaks out amid Man Utd rumours

Arsenal’s creative king Mesut Ozil urged to resist Man Utd transfer and make Bundesliga return

Ozil is on course to be out of contract in June 2018 after months of talks have yielded no breakthrough.

Besiktas have also been linked with the former Real Madrid star and, while his agent confirmed Ozil was happy to hear of the interest from the Turkish club, he is determined to remain in the Premier League for now.

Although Arsenal have overcome a shaky start to the season, they still find themselves six points off the top of the Premier League table; having picked up 13 points from seven games.

The playmaker has, however, be on the receiving end of more than his fair share of criticism during his time in England over question marks about his performances and body language which led to question marks about his future.

Injury has seen Ozil sidelined in recent weeks.

Despite Ozil's somewhat precarious contract situation, and being free to talk with foreign clubs over a possible switch in January, no offer of a new deal has arrived from Arsenal.

The other player Arsenal fans are unsure about is of course Alexis Sanchez, with the forward nearly certain to leave the club at the end of his deal.

However, while admitting that Besiktas are an attractive proposition for Ozil, his agent Dr Erkut Sogut has dropped his biggest hint yet that the player could be Manchester United bound.
