Heads Up: Assassin's Creed Origins for $48 with Amazon Prime

Today, Ubisoft revealed details of Assassin's Creed Origins post-launch content, including the season pass and free add-on content available to all players.

The Roman Centurion and Horus Packs are two exclusive add-on packs that bring a new outfit, weapons, mount, and shield. This expansion will extend the level cap, allowing players to keep on making their character progress. The Hidden Ones is set years after the game's storyline where you fight against the Romans in a new area, which is set for a January 2018 release. In short, there'll be two story-driven DLCs, with one of these being an undead-themed Egyptian mummy expansion, The Curse of the Pharaohs. In it, players will encounter beasts such as Anubis warriors, scorpions, and more as they investigate a curse that has been raising dead pharaohs. It's out March 2018.

There's a number of free DLC content being added in through the coming months after the video game's launch. The Seasons Pass will also come with several other contents, including a new mode called "Trial of the Gods", which will pit players against various Egyptian deities. The latter will take players on a guided tour of Ancient Egypt curated by historians and Egyptologists, and will be available in early 2018.

To make things more exciting, a package of 500 Helix Credits will be available at the game launch, as well as an exclusive rare weapon: the Calamity Blade. Kicks off 15 days after launch. Taking place as special timed events, the players will take part in what is described as epic boss battles, with victorious players receiving prestigious rewards. Completing the said daily activity will give players new in-game contents after the official launch.

Photo Mode: Players will be able to capture and share the beauty of the Egyptian landscape and indulge their inner wildlife photographer while discovering in-game pictures taken by other players. The Horde Mode is set in a Gladiator Arena where players can challenge themselves and fight endless waves of enemies.

"Ubisoft will officially launch the full version of "#Assassin's Creed Origins" on October 27.

The Auckland Armageddon Expo is the first time the New Zealand public will be able to play both of these games. Available in early 2018.
