Linkin Park's Carpool Karaoke has been released in the memory of the band's late frontman, Chester Bennington.

However, the episode has since been released via Apple TV and is streaming free on Facebook through the band's own page.

The episode takes things to "the next level", as Jeong puts it, with an unexpected surprise for the last segment of the clip. At one point, he even calls it "the greatest day of my life".

Corden went on to say they would navigate the situation as delicately as possible and adhere to the wishes of the Bennington family and all involved, as he didn't think there was any other way to deal with it.

The bittersweet episode, which was taped a week before 41-year-old Bennington committed suicide, opens with Jeong getting into the front seat of the auto and asking if he can join the rock band.

After the untimely death of front man Chester Bennington earlier this year, Linkin Park have shared a photo of their first rehearsal back together. "My daughters love music, and they want to learn how to play instruments".

Corden's message was appreciated by Bennington's widow, Talinda - who thanked him for his words on Twitter.

Bennington died on July 20 at the age of 41.
