Google Explains Why the Pixel 2 Does Not Have a Headphone Jack

After mocking Apple for removing the headphone jack in its iPhones past year, Google has gone ahead and removed it on the new Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL smartphones. Also, only the iPhone 8 Plus offers wireless charging-and we're pretty bummed Google didn't include the feature on the Pixel 2 XL. No, in typical Google fashion it did not stock up enough units so it could be December before you get to own your panda XL.

These pictures feature a number of various compositions such as landscapes, low-light shots, moving subjects, and the Pixel 2's new portrait shooting mode.

The users located in the passenger seat, or those who in using this function is not needed, you can always disable it in the settings. By tapping into the Pixel's Google Assistant- which is far superior and more responsive than Apple's Siri- the buds can listen and translate different languages in real time.

One comes included with the phone, but if you lose it you'll have to spend £20 to replace it.

The Pixel 2 XL is a little less expensive, with its 64 GB model going for $1,159 and the Pixel 2 XL 128GB going for $1,289. It seems that the shipping estimates shot up nearly instantly, especially for the Black & White color option for the Pixel 2 XL (affectionately known as the panda color). Pixel 2 is backed by a 2700mAh battery which delivers up to 7 hours of power after 15 minutes of charge and Pixel 2 XL by a 3520mAh which also up to 7 hours of power after 15 minutes of charge.

Juston Payne, Google's product manager, explained at the keynote event how the real-time translation of Pixel Bud works. This feels like the final nail in the coffin for both landline and mobile network providers - slowly eradicating the need for the traditional phone contract. The Pixel 2 XL will let you insert augmented reality virtual stickers that you can add into either photographs or videos. That's because Google has moved the fingerprint sensor to the back of the device, allowing it to shorten the "forehead" and "chin" bezels on the front of the device (and thus giving extra space for the screen). Of course, both selfie cameras are also able to capture high- quality videos too.
