As Prime Minister Narendra Modi receives a warm welcome on his first visit to his hometown Vadnagar in Gujarat since assuming office in 2014, he expressed his graciousness thanking people and pledging to work even harder.

"I am happy that I have got to inaugurate projects relating to the health sector, particularly Intensified Mission Indradhanush, " said PM Modi. The prime minister stressed that his government had given priority to development.

The PM says Vadnagar has India-China connection. When there is trust in the government and honesty is seen behind decisions, then the country joins in despite difficulties, the prime minister said.

According to the Newspaper, Modi also urged the country's youth to take up innovation in a big way and said academics should focus on it instead of being exam-driven.Warning against creation of any digital divide if all people were not digitally empowered, he said, "In this day and age, we can not afford to have a digital divide".

The Prime Minister also said that he does not want the business class to get caught in red tape and said that the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, in a GST Council meeting on Friday, convinced everyone about the need for changing some of its provisions. It will be constructed at a cost of 4337 crore rupees. He said that he had asked the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, to send a team to Gujarat and study the Pashu Arogya Melas. He also offered prayers at the famous Dwarkadhish temple. This is his third visit to poll-bound Gujarat in less than a month.

This is PM Modi's third visit to Gujarat in less than a month.
