Alliance? Arvind Kejriwal to meet Kamal Haasan today

Actor Kamal Hassan could soon enter politics

He has a national objective for fighting against communalism and corruption.

With strong political overtones, the meeting was seen as an attempt by the Aam Aadmi Party to bring the National Award winning actor on its side.

Following the anticipation of the actor joining politics, Haasan said, "You can very well guess what we would have discussed".

Haasan said he was honoured by Kejriwal's visit and his endeavour was to seek advice from anyone fighting against communalism and corruption.

It was not just all politics at the meeting between Arvind Kejriwal and Kamal Hassan at the latter's house in Chennai today. But only few like Haasan are ready to stick their "neck out". Was very happy when I learnt that a large number of people who are honest feel very strongly against the communal forces which are going against the country.

Kamal Haasan had previously met Kejriwal on September 11, 2015, at the New Delhi secretariat and had discussed the issues related to promoting the film industry and making Delhi ideal for film shootings. However, he has clarified that his colour is not saffron when it comes to political affiliation. Recently, Kamal Haasan had said that MLAs should be covered under the "no work no pay" formula.

The filmmaker has been positioning himself as the voice against corruption in Tamil Nadu.

Amid the political crisis in Tamil Nadu after the demise of chief minister J. Jayalalithaa in December, Haasan has been accusing the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).

With Haasan's younger daughter, Akshara, personally receiving Kejriwal at the airport, social media was abuzz of what might be in store.
