Malayalam actor assault case: Dileep denied bail for fourth time

In yet another setback for actor Dileep a court in Angamaly has rejected the actor’s bail application

A court on Monday turned down the fourth bail plea of Malayalam actor Dileep, arrested for alleged involvement in the conspiracy behind the kidnapping of an actress.

In his bail plea, Dileep had submitted that he has completed 60 days in judicial custody and hence, was entitled to a statutory bail. The HC had also rejected his bail plea twice.

Last week on Saturday Dileep's Wife and actress, Kavya Madhavan both filed an application for the bail plea to the Kerala high court, which later was examined to be ill-motivated and Biased. He had also assured that he will not try to influence the witnesses if he gets bail.

Further, the prosecution also stated before the court that the actor had phone conversations with several people on the same day till 12.30 AM.

"Only last week, Dileep was released from jail for two hours to perform his father" death anniversary rites. Following frequent visits from Celebs, Special Investigation Team made a decision to impose restrictions on the visit.

Dileep has been questioned twice and was arrested soon after the second round of interrogation on July 10. Also, that he has been charged with only hiring Pulsar Suni (the prime accused in the case) to take nude photographs of the victim.

Meanwhile, the HC postponed considering the fresh bail plea to September 26, following the prosecution requesting more time for submitting an answer for the bail-plea.

The incident took place on Feb17 when the actress was n her way from Trishur to Kochi, six men assualted her in her auto, including her own driver.

The incident reportedly took place when the actress was returning from a shoot.

He has said that Manju Warrier is a close friend of ADGP B Sandhya who is supervising the investigating team that is handling the actress attack case in which he is in remand.
