Jeffrey Sandusky, the son of convicted sex abuser and former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, has pleaded to 14 counts of child-sex abuse charges.

Sandusky's pleas guarantee that he will serve 3 to 6 years in state incarceration, but it allows the judge in the case to impose as much as 4 to 8 years at her discretion, according to the district attorney's office. Sandusky will also have to register as the highest tier of sex offender in the state.

Jeffrey Sandusky's plea deal comes a week before his trial was slated to begin on the charges, and almost six years after his father was arrested in a child molestation case that shook Penn State and is still working its way through criminal and civil courts.

The 41-year-old Sandusky entered his pleas on Friday.

That girl told investigators that Mr. Sandusky later told her, "I can't even say anything except I'm sorry".

A prison guard before his arrest in February, Jeffrey Sandusky has always been one of his father's most loyal allies.

When that didn't work, according to Penn Live's description of court records, Sandusky tried to apologize and asked the girl to delete her texts.

Jeffrey Sandusky, a state prison guard, knew the girls through their mother, authorities said.

The crimes were uncovered late previous year when a girl told her father that Sandusky had texted her repeatedly, asking her to send him naked photos.

"This outcome also ensures the victims need not suffer the trauma and revictimization of testifying at trial and importantly, the defendant will have to comply with strict sex offender registration requirements for the remainder of his life".

His father, Jerry Sandusky, is serving 30 to 60 years for abusing boys over a 15-year period. "We are happy that these girls can move forward and experience a life with adults that deserve their trust".
