Samsung Galaxy S8 spotted running Android 8.0 Oreo

In the U.S. Verizon is confirmed to release Android 8.0 Oreo update for Moto Z2 Force, Moto Z2 Play, Moto Z Force, Moto Z and Moto Z Play. To recall, last year's Moto E3 Power was subject to similar fate when Lenovo/Motorola left it hanging with Android Marshmallow for the rest of its life, just one month after launching it.

Here is a detailed list explaining some of the many new features.

The Moto G4 Plus will receive an update to Android 8.

The devices which will get the Android Oreo OS are the Moto G4 Play, Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. Then in July and August, Android Nougat reached 10.6 percent and 13.5 percent respectively. The smartphone maker insists that the updates will start rolling out this fall, which means somewhere between October and December.

Motorola has given a detailed list of its devices that will be updated to Android Oreo. You can even do Skype video calls and minimize it to the corner of the screen so as to access other features while continuing the call. Instead of waiting for the rollout, the team has started introducing it on all their favorite manufacturers' devices. These are the phones that will get priority, but that doesn't mean others won't get added at a later date.

The Company further added the roll out would possibly happen by the quarter 4. That's a lot of phones and while some of them are really, really good, most of them are mere incremental upgrades fighting among each other for the top spot. Also, the upcoming phones from Motorola might have the Android Oro 8.0 update. So much so that the promotional images specifically said that the Moto G4 Plus will receive the said update.

In the US website of the Lenovo-owned company, the software update is marked as dependant on carrier partners. It should also be kept in mind that Google takes only those Android devices into account that support Google Play (which itself supports Android 2.2 and above).
