No. 9 Oklahoma State's passing game pounces on Pitt

James Washington currently holds the OSU career receiving record with 19.8 yards per reception

His final throw of the day was actually an interception on a deep ball to the end zone with 10:49 left in the quarter - ending a streak of 216 consecutive passes without a pick dating from last season, according to the Associated Press. Marcell Ateman (109) and Dillon Stoner (100) also reached the 100-yard receiving mark, the first time in 12 years a team has had four 100-yard receivers in a game. It was the first touchdown catch of the Jenks' star's college career.

The Panthers were able to keep Biletnikoff Award candidate James Washington out of the end zone, but he ended up with 124 yards on five catches.

Tyron Johnson was absent from the opening kick return for OSU. He completed throws to all levels of the field, showing the velocity needed for the tough sideline throws required in the National Football League, as well as excellent touch and trajectory on his deep balls, allowing his receivers space to run under them.

Pitt redshirt senior quarterback Max Browne went 7 of 10 for just 60 yards before being removed in favor of Ben DiNucci in the second quarter.

Rudolph completed 20-of-28 passes for 423 yards and five touchdowns before halftime against the Panthers, setting a new school record for passing yards in a half and doing it with familiar explosiveness.

"We have a decision to make", Panthers coach Pat Narduzzi said. The rematch was a mismatch.

But back to that first half.

The Cowboys increased the margin to 35-0 on a 40-yards Rudolph to McCleskey touchdown.

Oklahoma State: The Cowboys can take their hyper-tempo offense anywhere and opponents have far more to fear than Mason-to-Washington. Not a bad offer, but it doesn't help explain the poor performance at home. Pitt will get suspended safety Jordan Whitehead back next week. Cowboys have won two straight over the Horned Frogs.
