Ex-Hoosier Camion Patrick charged with criminal homicide

Former IU football player charged in Tennessee teen’s murder Camion Patrick

The two collegiate athletes, who are brothers, were charged with the criminal homicide of Caleb Thomas on Wednesday. He was set to play at Division-II West Georgia but left the program before the start of the season.

Radford, only 18, was found stabbed multiple times on a street in Louisville, Tenn.

Patrick also starred at East Mississippi, leading the Lions to a national title in 2014 before enrolling in IU at the beginning of 2015.Academics, however, kept him on the scout team for that season. A week after Radford was discovered, Keshawn Lonnell Hopewell and Itiq Tivone Green were charged with criminal homicide and were being held on $1 million bond each.

Patrick's younger brother Isaiah Wright - who at one point was also a football prodigy - is also being charged with the crime. He is being held at the Monroe County Correctional Center in Bloomington, Ind.

Harriman Police officers arrested 20-year-old Isaiah Wright.

Wright was a key figure in the "Last Chance U" series in its latest season. ESPN reports there is not yet any information on hearing dates.

The one-time Tennessee recruit spent two years at East Mississippi Community College before joining IN, where he had six receptions and four rushes IN 2016.

Later in the season, Wright's story took a darker turn, as frustrating injuries led to repeated clashes with his coaches, which led to scholarship offers drying up. In July, he was granted a medical hardship waiver, which ended his college football career but allowed Patrick to remain on scholarship.

Wright and Patrick first made headlines when they were featured on "Last Chance U", a Netflix documentary series that follows the East Mississippi Community College football team, where both brothers previously played.
