Assassin's Creed: Origins Gameplay Trailer Shows off Story and Elephants

Order of the Ancients

However, considering it looks like it is to be the full origin story of the entire "Assassin's Creed" universe, fans can expect to have more details ahead of the release date.

Today Ubisoft released a brand new trailer of its upcoming action-adventure (with additional RPG elements) Assassin's Creed Origins.

The Order of the Ancients is introduced as the real power in Egypt, power-hungry cabal of individuals pulling the Pharoah's strings from the shadows. It focuses on a secretive group called the Order of the Ancients. And you can't have an Assassin's Brotherhood without a Templar Order, right?

The rest of the trailer shows off a lot of pretty stylish combat, but you can also get another look at the character dressed as Anubis, the ancient Egyptian jackal-headed god of the afterlife. The game was well received but developer Ubisoft made a decision to take a year out from the usual annual release of the games to make sure Origins is fully polished.

The highlight of this video are definitely the war elephants. Bayek serves as the protector of the people in the midst of Ptolemaic Egypt.

"Assassin's Creed: Origins" is set for a worldwide release on October 27 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
