New Video Shows Rami Malek Playing Freddie Mercury In Live Aid Reenactment

It’s unclear who Myers will be playing in the biopic

Queen fans, get ready for a insane little thing to love. You can see Brian May off to the side of the stage in this Instagram pic.

Unlike the millions of us who've tried that, however, Malek actually looks scarily like the original.

After a few false starts over the past few years - including a fallout with Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen, who was at one time lined up to play Mercury onscreen - it looks like Bohemian Rhapsody is finally getting underway.

But here's a good sign.

And for those that truly want to see an incredible performance check out the real deal in the video below.

The first official photo of Mr. Robot star Malek as Mercury came out a couple weeks ago, not long after the starring cast was announced. But May's on-set presence is the best indication yet that the remaining members of Queen are in full approval.

It's too bad that I wasn't even born when Freddie Mercury and Queen completely changed music with their iconic performance at Live Aid in 1985 that took place in London.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about that particular song and its inclusion in the movie, he had said: "I'd gone to England in "75 with my family and heard 'Bohemian Rhapsody" on the radio, ' and they became 'obsessed" with the song.
