James Franco's New Movie About The Room Gets New Trailer

Described as the Citizen Kane of bad movies, it's the epitome of so-bad-it's-good. It's an affectionately handled portrait of a hard man and we share both the frustration and sympathy of other characters. On Tuesday, Franco released the first full-length look at The Disaster Artist, and it's quite possibly the best trailer of the year. Wiseau is also, somehow, rich, and managed to self-finance The Room's $6 million budget. Four planets. Distribution: Theatrical.

Then you saw this trailer for The Disaster Artist. Midnight screenings became communal events on par with The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The trailer starts with Wiseau and Greg Sestero bonding over their dreams to make it big in Hollywood. Abrams, Adam Scott, Lizzy Caplan, Zach Braff, and Kristen Bell.

It was the brainchild of Tommy Wiseau who wrote, directed, produced and executive produced the flick, released in 2003. Luckily for us, we get to learn about how it all came together in The Disaster Artist. Many critics love the movie so far. What's great about this movie? The thing is, to this day, not a lot is known about Wiseau's early life.

He's probably seen the movie 60 times now. Wiseau was on the fence about Franco, who recalled Wiseau telling him in their first conversation, "I've seen your stuff James". Give him a MacArthur Genius grant. With production on The Room underway, Greg and Tommy's friendship begins to crumble underneath the strain of Tommy's insecurities. "I thought it was a cult. So much. In ways I don't want to admit". We are officially counting the days. "It's exactly the weirdest thing you've heard about. Also, you are not going to like this movie'". We're here to tell you that, no, in fact, Franco is bang on.

After emerging to swelling applause, he introduced the rest of the cast and shot impromptu questions at them that they didn't seem to know how to answer, like, "So what'chyou wanna say about Disaster Artist?". It's bullshit. It's not!
