The department also responded to the slew of swooning remarks saying, "We are dying with the comments".

The department responded back saying some of the comments "actually made our chief blush" and that the officers' wives "have also enjoyed knowing how millions of women are going insane over their husbands".

Nordman and Hamill have also enjoyed knowing how millions of women are going insane over their husbands. Officers Nordman and Hamill are married but the officer "far right with the incredible hair" (a.k.a. Officer Rengering) is single.

But that wasn't the end of it.

A selfie by three police officers helping victims of Hurricane Irma in a Florida city has spawned a flurry of flirtatious comments after it was posted on Facebook. A photo of K-9 Officer Maverick led one fan to say, "Dang!" In June, when President Trump said in a Suffolk Country, N.Y., speech that police officers shouldn't be "too nice" when transporting handcuffed suspects, Tobias tweeted, "I'm a cop". The department had to update their post two days later after receiving over 110,000 comments, over 280,000 likes, and more than 170,000 shares - most of which were demands that the Florida-area department release a calendar.

The update went on to write that Rengering is being placed in "Cougar Prey Protective Care, similar to the witness protection program for his safety". Gainesville Police also requested people not call 911, requesting the trio to respond to their "incident".

In one of the comments on the post, the department gave a shout out to another police department staffed with easy-to-look-at officers: the Sarasota Police Department.

"We're going to let kids be kids", the department explained in a Facebook post.

On one of the photographs of Officer Hatcher one commenter wrote: "I'm convinced this police department is fake and this is actually an ad for Magic Mike 3".

The popularity of Gainesville Police's hunks did not go unnoticed by other law enforcement departments in Florida.
