Polish Metal Band Decapitated Arrested, Charged With Kidnapping

Polish metal band Decapitated arrested for alleged kidnapping

It's unclear if Decapitated will perform at the show, but Music Feeds has contacted Thy Art Is Murder for comment.

A woman whose allegations led to Polish death metal band Decapitated members being arrested over the weekend while on tour in Santa Ana said she was gang-raped by the band after a concert in Spokane, Wash., according to court documents, media in Spokane reported Monday.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Deputy Juanita Navarro has noted that the members of Decapitated are being held without bail and may be extradited to Poland. According to the news site, "the case is still under investigation by the department's Special Victims Unit".

Those arrested were Michal Mikolaj Lysejko, 27; Waclaw Jan Kieltyka, 35; Rafal Tomasz Piotrowski, 31; and Hubert Edward Wiecek, 30, according to the Spokesman-Review, which cited Spokane police. Teresa Fuller said in an announcement.

The touring four-member group has been detained in California after a woman accused the band of abduction. We greatly appreciate Los Angeles County's help when it comes to holding criminals accountable for serious offenses committed here in Spokane.

"There is another side to this", said Steve Graham.

An attorney for the band says the woman came to visit the band on her own free will and left on good terms.

Graham added that the band had offered to surrender after learning of the investigation, but never heard anything back.

But Graham said that the four will not fight extradition and will return to Spokane willingly. "I made it clear that I could get the guys up here ASAP and they would cooperate", he said.

Following the Spokane incident, Decapitated performed six more North American shows on their Double Homicide tour before Santa Ana authorities arrested them Saturday morning.
