New thatgamecompany Title Sky Announced During Apple TV 4K Presentation

New iOS-Exclusive Game Sky Announced for Apple TV iPad and iPhone at Apple Event

Now, the studio's next game has been revealed: Sky.

Sky supports up to 8 players, and the entire game can be controlled with a single finger.

If it's anything like TGC's past efforts, expect plenty of subtext and symbolism hidden beneath lush environments and high-flying characters. Thus, launching on Apple products make more sense, but they haven't ruled a console release in the future either.

Thatgamecompany is a video game developer that is known for delivering some truly unique gaming experiences, with the likes of Flower and Journey being truly unlike anything else on the market.

Jenova Chen, studio head of thatgamecompany, took the stage at today's Apple conference to show off Sky for the first time.

Thatgamecompany's last game was Journey, which is considered to be a masterpiece by many.

UPDATE: Thatgamecompany has tweeted that Sky will be a multi-platform game, and in addition to Apple TV it will also be coming first to both iPhone and iPad! Their first title was Flow released across all the PlayStation platforms, followed in 2009 by the attractive Flower which as noted during this Apple event is the only video game to ever be made a permanent fixture in the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

In Sky, eight people will be able to roam and explore together.

On their official blog, Thatgamecompany wrote "If you can imagine the delight of visiting a theme park where lasting memories are made, we envision Sky will sometimes feel like that".
