Gone Home Devs Announce ATOMEGA, A Multiplayer FPS

While Ubisoft is known for their larger franchises like Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon, and many others, the company has also been known for taking on smaller, more experimental endeavors, with the studio announcing a brand new online multiplayer experience called Atomega.

This is the latest project from the incubator at Ubisoft Reflections that developed 2015's Grow Home and its sequel, Grow Up.

Players will go through various different forms ranging from the cyclops Atom block to the cyclops dinosaur to the cyclops Omega robot (you get the idea). The more mass you accumulate, the bigger your shape becomes, even shifting the kind of combatant you become over time. Reality dissolves like cotton candy in a puddle and all that exists are EXOFORMS, super advanced post-biological lifeforms; masters of matter and energy and the last, distant relative to man and machine. At the end of a ten minute round, the player with the most points wins.

Depression aside, Atomega looks to be an adorable shooter with plenty of strategy available, depending on if you want to play the powerful but easily targeted huge mech or the tiny but agile single block. Atomega is set to release through Steam a week from the date of its announcement, on the 19th of September.

As for the game's specifications on PC, Atomega isn't demanding at all.
