International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach will visit Los Angeles at the end of the week, four days after the International Olympic Committee session in Lima ratifies the decisions for 2024 and 2028 on Wednesday. "There is no doubt being raised about the Olympic Winter Games in 2018".

When asked if some national teams may pull out due to safety fears, Bach told Inside the Games: "I don't see this [as a concern] right now because there is a clear commitment".

Bach, who hopes there is a diplomatic solution before next February's Games, said the door is open for North Korean athletes to compete in Pyeongchang.

He added that the International Olympic Committee was involved in key discussions and committed to their successful outcome.

Bach said there was "no collective responsibility" for the IOC and the Olympic body would act, as it had in the Diack case, once it had evidence. "We will have a torch lighting ceremony in Greece on 24 October and then the torch will be delivered to Korea on 1 November".

Meanwhile, with the Olympic Games just 150 days away, the organizers also unveiled a promotional video earlier in the day, featuring South Korean President Moon Jae-in and former figure skater Kim Yu-na, both honorary ambassadors for the multi-sport event.

The IOC, which is gathering in Lima to award the 2024 and 2028 Olympics to Paris and Los Angeles respectively today, has been rocked by allegations of graft in the race for the Olympics previous year.

Police in Rio raided the home of Nuzman after prosecutors accused him of conspiring with former state Governor Sergio Cabral, already convicted in a separate corruption case, to buy the games.

"There is not even a hint that there is a threat for the security of the games in the context of the tensions between North Korea and some other countries", Bach told a press conference. We have to face this reality and we have undertaken the reforms and provided ourselves with the instruments to tackle these challenges. New rules and stricter rules have been adopted for the procedure for 2026.

"No organisation in the world is immune".

"No-one wants to have credibility issues in his or her organisation", added Bach. No law is so ideal that it can not be broken.
