"Let's lay the truth bare: President Trump has knowingly deceived the American people over the past seven months about his intentions to protect the innocent young men and women of the DACA program".

NY and Washington state on Monday promised to sue Trump if he rescinded the program, while nine Republican state attorneys generals said they planned to file suit on Tuesday if Trump did not end it. "If I resign every time [the president] does something I don't agree with, then I lose the ability to have influence and speak up for the DREAMer children [and] the minorities that feel offended and hurt by the Charlottesville incident", he said. He also said that by ending DACA will allow the U.S.to ensure it teaches immigrants in the USA about our legislative systems.

A decision that follows up on a campaign promise to end President Barack Obama's "illegal" executive amnesty that "defied federal law and the Constitution".

New applications will be halted for President Barack Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which has provided almost 800,000 young immigrants a reprieve from deportation and the ability to work legally in the U.S.in the form of two-year, renewable work permits.

US Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Tuesday that President Trump has made a decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, which protected the children of illegal immigrants from deportation.

Trump has no announcement on his Tuesday schedule, but Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a harsh opponent of the program, scheduled a press briefing on the topic later Tuesday. Despite campaigning as an immigration hard-liner, Trump has said he is sympathetic to the plight of the immigrants who came to the US illegally as children and in some cases have no memories of the countries they were born in.

"I think folks are nervous and would like to believe our schools are a sanctuary ... but that doesn't change anything for these families", he said.

According to white House officials, the reportedly proposed ending of the program will include a six-month delay which would give Congress ample time to step in before the protections expire.

Trump has taken a hard stance against illegal immigration, but until recently had not given a strong indication of whether he would keep DACA in place.

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan urged US President Donald Trump on Friday not to rescind the Obama-era program. "It is important that the White House clearly outline what kind of legislation the president is willing to sign".

Mexico said its embassy in Washington had already begun writing U.S. lawmakers underlining the young immigrants' "value to American society" and urging them to act.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who co-founded FWD.us to advocate for issues like immigration reform, in a Facebook post blasted the decision to end the program. Work permits issued under DACA must be renewed every two years.

"Thus, in effect, I am not going to just cut DACA off, but rather provide a window of opportunity for Congress to finally act", he said. As work to build the Employers US economy, DREAMER WHO employees are paying taxes and contributing to the future of our nation face uncertainty of Their own economic futures. "But now there is more to do, and the president has called on Congress to act", he said.
