Cosby, 80, has been forced to hastily put together a whole new legal dream team, after his previous attorneys ditched him!

"I'm not saying anything other than I can confirm that attorney Kathleen Bliss and I are going to be the lead lawyers in the case", Mesereau told the Daily News Monday, declining to comment on the merits of Cosby's three felony charges.

The 67-year-old Mesereau is known for getting an acquittal for Jackson in June 2005 after a four-month trial on child molestation charges.

Silver represented former Congressman Chaka Fattah in his federal corruption trial and Graham Spanier, the former Pennsylvania State University president convicted on charges stemming from the Jerry Sandusky child sex case.

Bill Cosby arrives at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania, on June 15.

Mesereau, who is based in Los Angeles, has been involved in several celebrity cases, including the murder trial of actor Robert Blake.

Cosby, 80, was long beloved by US television audiences for his family-friendly style of comedy, before dozens of women came forward to accuse him of a series of sexual assaults dating back to the 1960s.

Cosby's first team of defense lawyers, Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa, have asked Judge Steven O'Neill to withdraw from the case but haven't said why.

He will now defend Cosby, the pioneering African American actor and comedian who is due to go back on trial in November for allegedly drugging and molesting former Temple University basketball official Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004.

According to Page Six, both McMonagle and Agrusa are expected to be officially released from the case on Tuesday.
