Bonnie Tyler performs 'Total Eclipse' during cruise

She magically performed the song as the eclipse reached its totality while she was on a cruise ship named "Total Eclipse Cruise". Tyler also sang the song from the cruise ship earlier today live on CNN while news anchor John Berman held up a lighter at his desk in NY.

Total eclipses are rare, and therefore pretty exciting events, prompting people to go outside and witness the sky turning pitch black for a fleeting moment.

The Total Eclipse Cruise is positioned in the path of totality of where the moon is now moving across the sun.

"So I do two versions - I do the single version, and then when I'm doing live shows". That's just a normal Monday for her. "With the eclipse happening, performing this iconic song with a legend, our new friend, Bonnie, it was a dream come true", Jonas added. Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas set sail from Orlando on Sunday.

The Welsh singer will, however, need to cut down the song's original 7-minute run time.

Though this classic heartbreak anthem is timeless, it feels particularly appropriate to blast today, as the first solar eclipse visible throughout the United States since 1979 transpires.

We know there are some of you out there who are anxious she might get a little seasick, but there's no need to worry because sassy pop star Bonnie is totally used to it, darling.
