The victims were returning to Mumbai from Ahmedabad after wrapping up the shoot when their auto skidded off the road and rammed into a stationary truck near Chilar Phata at around 11:30 am yesterday on 19th August. He is known for his role as Lord Indra in the popular mythological serial Mahakali - Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, aired on Colors. The National Highway 8, of which the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway is a part of, has more than 45 spots which have been identified as accident prone zones.

"The film crew had got a weekend break after the shooting and were returning back to Mumbai from Gujarat". The vehicle crashed into the rear end of the stationery trailer parked alongside the road. Gagan was driving the Fiat Linea, which hit a divider and swerved to other side of the road.

Eye witnesses narrate the accident that had a high impact as the collision of the auto with the trailer had the roof of the vehicle smashed and all three were killed on the spot.

The victims were killed on the spot. The spotboy was seated in the rear.

The Car Was Over Speeding!

The police have also refused to confirm if the driver was drunk. A case of accidental death has been registered.

The entire TV industry is shaken by the news of sudden demise of Gagan Kang and Arjit Lawania.

"May God give enough strength to their loved ones in such sad times". Their auto is believed to have hit a trolley on the highway. I have personally been through a very horrid accident recently with my loved ones. "We are filing a First Information Report against the driver of the auto". I don't think we will ever come to terms with this tragedy. "May their souls rest in peace".

As per sources, both the actors were travelling towards Mumbai after shooting in Umergoan when their auto met with an accident.
