Sunny Skies Monday; Thunderstorms Pop Up Tuesday

Our dew points today stayed in the 40s to near 50-which is a fall-like kind of dryness to the air!

We'll see a good deal of sun this afternoon with just a few passing clouds. Be sure to grab the umbrella as you head out!

Widespread sunshine prevails today with highs cresting into the low 80s south and mid 70s north. Clouds increase overnight as a warm front approaches from the mid-Atlantic.

- Thunderstorms this afternoon especially around dinner time. Some stronger storms will be possible bringing the threat for torrential rainfall, gusty winds, and even some small hail.

Saturday has a very slight chance for a pop up storm, but the skies should clear throughout the day with highs in the upper 80s. So, expect lots of sun, highs ranging from near 90 west of the city to the mid 80s east of us, and humidity steadily dropping through the day.

Skies clear as we get into Sunday with the cold front moving offshore.

Monday is expected to have mostly sunny skies for the solar eclipse and temperatures are in the mid 80s.
