Guardians Of The Galaxy's Sean Gunn Describes Avengers: Infinity War Transition

Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds in ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’ More

"I wasn't in the "superhero argument" movie [Captain America: Civil War], I'm not in Avengers 3 and 4".

Jackson hasn't received the call to star in Avengers: Infinity War or its sequel, and he's not too happy about it. Movies about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They're shooting them now, and they haven't called me yet. They did not let him do a tour on the side of Black Panther, so I wonder how they can make a Marvel stamped "black" without Nick Fury is part?!

Now, it's important to note that Yahoo! does specify the interview was done before Marvel's announcements at SDCC back in July, which means it's entirely possible Jackson has read the script and signed a contract for the film since this interview was conducted. I can tell you I love working with them, and I think I also identified with the idea of working with my brother as something that they do all the time, just like my brother and I do.

And now it appears he won't have a role in other films like Avengers: Infinity War, the untitled Avengers 4, and Black Panther.

It was recently confirmed that Jackson will co-star with Brie Larson in "Captain Marvel", which is set in the 1990s, before the first "Iron Man". Or maybe it doesn't make sense for his character.

A lot of excitement is definitely building up for the release of Infinity War.

The fans are well aware the film will see The Avengers, their allies and the Guardians of the Galaxy join forces to take on a threat with the power to unmake reality, the Mad Titan Thanos, and frankly, should be bracing themselves for the ultimate cosmic smackdown. At the same time, though, Jackson's recent comments about Captain Marvel since SDCC haven't necessarily hinted at a heavy involvement in the project up until this point. The Avengers 4 is scheduled for May 3, 2019, but before all that, we have Thor: Ragnarok to look forward to on November 3, 2017.
