Asus Zenfone 4 and a smaller Zenfone 4 Max also leak

A confusing flood of random ZenFone 4-series launches in odd markets, accidental appearances of various other models on official Asus webpages, benchmark listings and insane detailed leaks is upon us, threatening to ruin every single surprise the Taiwanese OEM may have up its sleeve for eventual formal announcement events.

Asus ZenFone 4 and some of its variants are expected to be released in an official event slated for August 19.

Both devices will have dual 13MP and 5MP rear cameras and an 8MP front-facing shooter.

According to WinFuture.de, the ASUS ZenFone 4 will be one among the few mid rangers that the Taiwanese OEM is looking to launch in different markets.

Or in other words, the company is, to the displeasure of many, once again pulling its old tricks with its upcoming ZenFone 4 series, which we're expecting to make its debut on August 17. There is also 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage space.

As for the insides, the "standard" model of the phone will reportedly bear the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, and will be supplemented by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The ZenFone 4 Max and 4 Max Plus will be available in Black, Gold and Pink color options. The Selfie Pro has a weird combo of a 24 MP and a 5 MP sensor, while the Selfie opts for a 20 MP/8 MP combo instead. If reports are true, the Asus Zenfone 4 Pro is an answer to OnePlus 5.

ASUS is readying its arsenal of smartphones for 2017 and the Zenfone 4 has been already launched in some Asian countries. As the names suggest, both smartphones are focused on selfies and come with dual cameras at front. The rumor mill has also revealed that a 3,300mAh battery will be powering the ASUS ZenFone 4.

Asus has extended its Zenfone 4-series of smartphones with the introduction of the Selfie Pro. The phone will include a still large 4,100mAh battery, but it's disappointing when the Russian version has a 5,000mAh battery. The processor has also been bumped up to a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 unit. The regular version will start at €299 or around $350, and the Pro will set you back €399 or $470.
